The ISA One is based on the awarded ISA transformator. It is built in a robust, portable chassis at a unbelievable price. The ISA One connects classic vintage microphone pre-amps from the original module ISA110 with the Lundahl L1538 transformator.
The pre-amp is expanded by a line-input (XLR & TRS), an independent D.I. channel with assignable gain, active or passive impedence switch, a chinch output for the amp routing as well as a rear, independent XLR output.
The flexible, independent direct-input makes the ISA One ideal for sound engineers who want to mix microphone guitar signals and for ambitious artists who are looking for a classic solution for guitars and vocals.
A circuit with adjustable resistance enables the user to choose between four input-sensitivities. Additionaly to the original ISA110 impedance three more adjustments are possible for perfect adaption with every microphone.
The function "phantom power", "phase return" and a 75 Hz, 18 dB/octave high-pass filter can be operated through the front panel.
Channel independent double VU metres with variable sensitivity enable exact dissemination of analogue and digital sources and there is a 2 x 6 LED peak metre. The VU metre can either show the pre- or the post signal.
The headphone output of the ISA One has an own volume control which can be mixed with an extern stereo.
Optionally a state-of-the-art, stereo A-D converter is available. This optional card can be refitted at any time and offers high-quality converters with 24 bit/192 kHz in a dynamic area of 119 dB.

Was ist eigentlich ein guter Mikrofonvorverstärker? Der ISA One ist gut. Es gibt eine Impendanzanpassung, das ist nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Insgesamt bietet er 80 dB Vorverstärkung, das ist ein sehr guter Wert. Der Rauschspannungsabstand ist mit 127 dB hervorragend und falls jemand im Internet gelesen hat, der ISA One würde rauschen, kann ich nur sagen, dass man eben die zum Mikrofon passende Impendanz auch einstellen muss. Meine Entscheidung für die Anschaffung fiel zugunsten dieses Geräts aus, weil er einen hervorragenden DI Eingang bietet, den man gleichzeitig mit dem Signal des Mikrofonvorverstärkers aufnehmen kann. Das ist sicher sehr interessant für alle, die zur Gitarre singen, aber mein Beweggrund ist die Bass-Aufnahme. Eine EBS 210 mit mit einem C414 aufzunehmen und das Ergebnis dem Super-sauberen, detaillierten DI Signal beizumischen, ergibt eine ungemein schöne Abbildung des Tieftons. Der Mikrofonvorverstärker ist beinahe etwas zu schade für diese Anwendung. Er ist prädestiniert für die Verstärkung von Bändchenmikrofonen. Es wird sicher vorkommen, dass ich andere Instrumente und auch Stimmen damit aufnehme. Es gibt für sehr viele Anwendungen eigentlich nur eines, was noch besser wäre als ein ISA One. Zwei ISA One.
