The BOSS ME series has been a favourite among guitarists for three decades, combining the power of multi-effects with hands-on control to create sounds in seconds. The ME-90 is the most advanced ME model to date, delivering exceptional audio quality with 24-bit AD/DA and 32-bit floating-point processing, flagship-quality AIRD amp models, IR, an effects loop and much more. The BOSS ME-90 is an all-in-one processor: extremely compact, battery-powered and packed with premium BOSS tones and custom setups for every playing situation.
With its intuitive interface and wide selection of effects, the ME-90 lets the guitarist create configurations and tailor sounds with the ease of a pedalboard full of stompboxes. The control panel features 30 different controls for selecting categories and shaping tones. There are 36 preset patches with pro-ready sounds you can play straight away, plus 36 user patches for saving your own setups.
The BOSS ME-90 features an extensive library of BOSS effects organised into seven categories, with selections derived from the flagship BOSS GT-1000. There are 60 effect types in total, with access to over 20 more via BOSS Tone Studio.
For connecting external pedals there's a send/return loop with the ability to store the on/off status in patches and to place the loop before or after amp models in the signal chain.
In addition to numerous effects, the ME-90 also offers a range of amp models carried over from the GT-1000—powered by AIRD technology for authentic tube tone and playing dynamics. Eleven amp types cover everything from clean combo sounds to punchy high-gain stacks, and more models are available in BOSS Tone Studio. Each amp includes its own cab sound for connection to a PA or a recording device. You can also load three custom speaker IRs using a dedicated software app.
The BOSS ME-90 has eight smooth, low-noise footswitches and an expression pedal with an integrated toe switch. Memory mode lets you recall complete patch setups with the footswitches, while Manual mode provides direct on/off control of each effect category within a patch. The footswitch LEDs light in different colours so you can spot them quickly in the heat of the moment. You can also set all LEDs to a fixed colour per mode or assign a different colour for each mode, if you prefer.
The BOSS ME-90 supports the optional Bluetooth Audio-MIDI Dual Adapter, allowing you to stream music from a mobile device and edit sounds wirelessly with the BTS Editor app for iOS and Android.
The BOSS ME-90 is lighter than its predecessor while retaining the rock-solid durability BOSS is known for. The expression pedal has been redesigned for even finer parameter control. The effects unit can be powered by four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter, and a switch on the rear optimises the outputs for use with a guitar amplifier or a full-range sound system such as a PA. Together with BOSS Tone Studio connectivity, the USB-C port provides audio-interface functionality for working with music production software on a computer.

In addition to the 36 presets, 36 user presets are also available for your own effect creations. The ME-90 can be retrofitted with the optional Boss BT Dual MIDI/Bluetooth module, a USB C interface can be used as an audio interface or for editing the effects. Extensive sounds, editing and archiving options are available via the Boss Tone Studio software. 4 AA batteries supply the ME-90 with power for up to 7 hours, mains operation is also possible(PSA 230S mains adapter optional).
