Walrus Audio describes the Luminary pedal as a "Polyphonic Quad Octave Generator". The Luminary pedal belongs to the pitch shifter category, but has much more to offer: There are 4 octaves available: one octave lower, two octaves lower, one octave higher and 2 octaves higher. Each octave can be added to the original signal, whereby the original signal can also be faded out. The Luminary pedal works very cleanly without audible tracking. The octave signals can also be additionally processed: the attack control can be used to change the response behaviour - depending on the control setting, the sound is faded in with a time delay. The filter serves as a kind of tone control - but can also produce wah-like sounds. The Flutter control modulates the signal - creating chorus-like beats or heavy vibrato. An external expression pedal can be used to remotely control various parameters - octave volume, attack, flutter or wet/dry can be addressed via a DIP switch. Your own sound creations can be stored in 3 memory locations.
