Tone King Little Helper Tone King Ironman II Mini Attenuator 30 Watt/8 Ohm Attenuator, Solo Boost, Presence

Product information "Tone King Little Helper Tone King Ironman II Mini Attenuator 30 Watt/8 Ohm Attenuator, Solo Boost, Presence"

With the Ironman II Mini Attenuator, Tone King has a sophisticated power attenuator for small amps up to 30 watts output power and 8 ohms impedance in its programme. The Iromman, which is housed in a practical floor pedal housing, can reduce the output power in 18 stages. The signal is not only attenuated, as is usually the case with inexpensive power amplifiers, but also reworked in terms of sound and dynamics so that the natural interplay between amplifier and loudspeaker is retained. Different volumes are perceived differently by the human ear; the Ironman II achieves this effect by means of a volume compensation circuit, so that the sound does not become thin and muffled when the volume is lowered considerably. A very practical feature is the foot-switchable solo function, which can boost the signal by 3 or 6 dB. The three-stage presence switch influences the treble content and the compression of the signal. At maximum attenuation, the Ironman works as a load box; a line out signal can be routed to a speaker simulation or similar.

About Tone King

Tone King from Baltimore, USA, is a manufacturer of vintage valve amplifiers founded in 1993 by Mark Bartel. Among the most popular are the heads and combos from the Imperial and Gremlin series. In addition to the high-quality amplifiers, Tone King is particularly known for the much-praised Ironman Attenuator, which preserves the amplifier's tonal character very faithfully even at low power.
