Bob's easy-to-play 12-string guitars helped put Taylor on the map, and the Legacy 855e honors one of his groundbreaking models with a classic jumbo body shape in rosewood and spruce. This 12-string model offers a playing experience unlike anything else in the Taylor lineup. It combines the warmth, clarity, and balance of the rosewood/spruce tonewood pairing with blossoming overtones and waves of beautiful octave brilliance. Players will appreciate the comfortable neck profile and string setup that continues to make our 12-string guitars the gold standard for playability. This non-cutaway acoustic-electric is tuned with the X-bracing pattern that Bob used for many years.
The vintage design includes our mustache bridge and straight-ear tuning peg head shape, as well as white binding, a three-ring green abalone rosette, unengraved large diamond mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, a tortoiseshell pickguard, nickel tuning machines, and a gloss-finished body and neck.
