Some time ago Taylor Guitars launched the Taylor GS mini-e Koa as a limited edition, creating a premium version of the popular GS mini-series. The Hawaiian Koa top, as well as the back and sides made of laminated Koa, give this guitar not only a breathtaking look, but also tonally that certain something.
The Taylor GS Mini E Koa now belongs in the normal program, but is limited due to the restricted resources of suitable Koa wood.
Hawaiian Koa is probably the most striking of all timbres: breathtakingly beautiful, unmistakable, good sound properties and due to the low availability very exclusive. The production of the Taylor Koa series is like no other dependent on the availability of a particular wood in a certain quality. Koa is extremely rare and grows in the quality required by Taylor, just above 1,600 meters in Hawaii. These trees are also mostly private and are difficult and expensive to buy.
The Mini Grand Symphony body shape is very handy and makes the Taylor GS Mini the ideal companion on the go without compromising sound. The GS-Mini has a balanced sound and an excellent playing feel.
