High-quality, permanently polarised condenser microphone with cardioid pickup pattern. The Shure SM86 is a rugged microphone that is ideally suited for live sound applications which has been built to resist the tough conditions associated with touring. It delivers studio-quality sound and is characterised by a tailored frequency response which provides detailed vocal reproductions. The cardioid pickup pattern isolates the desired sound source and effectively rejects background noise. Handling noise is reduced by the built-in three-point shock mount and the two-stage pop filter reduces wind and breath “pop” noise. The SM86 is an excellent choice for use with both stage monitors and personal monitors.
