Shadows NFX EP-A consists of a Nanoflex under bridge and an end-knob preamp (endpin preamp) for Western guitars. The battery is installed in a battery case inside the instrument.
Nanoflex pickups do not take up only the vibrations of the strings, just like conventional low-frequency pickups. Nanoflex captures the string vibrations AND the vibrations of the instrument body at the same time. As a result, Nanoflex pickups produce a sound image similar to that of a microphone/pickup combination. No other pickup technology achieves such a high level of amplified reproduction of the original sound of acoustic instruments. Due to the active amplification directly at the pickup and a 100% shielding of the entire system, Nanoflex pickups are absolutely hum and noise-free. The electronics of the preamplifier EP-A is matched to the acoustic guitar with steel and bronze strings and convinces with its fine highs, crispy mids and full basses. The output power is optimised for finger picking as well as for strumming. The SH NFX EP-A is also surprising by its extremely low energy consumption.
