Product information "Schott Spiel und Spaß mit der Blockflöte Schule Bd.1"

Since the publication of Spiel und Spaß mit der Blockflöte in 1990, this school has been a standard work for recorder lessons. After more than 20 years, it seemed sensible to update this tried and tested recorder school, for example by updating the photos and replacing and supplementing the songs with more modern ones that correspond more closely to the reality of pupils' lives today. Nevertheless, the authors consider it their duty and task to preserve traditional songs so that the new edition contains a mixture of the tried and tested and the new. The aim of the school continues to be a solid technical, musical and wind instrumental education, which on the one hand enables a cheerful early instrumental approach to the recorder, but on the other hand does not obstruct the path to artistic recorder playing, but rather prepares it sensibly.

This school work for children from the age of 6 is designed to teach not only recorder playing but also reading and writing music, the most important basic concepts of music theory as well as listening and improvisation. Breathing and blowing techniques are taught consistently, wrapped up in games that liven up the lessons. The school uses baroque fingering right from the start, which - in comparison to German fingering - guarantees much better intonation.

Range from c1 - d2, without chromatic semitones. Consistent work on breathing and tone formation. Development of rhythmic security with the note values (quarter, half, dotted half, whole, eighth)
