Dirko Juchem has made a name for himself nationally and internationally as a saxophonist, saxophone teacher and author for many years.
His saxophone sound and stylistic range are in demand: he has played with well-known German and international artists such as Rolf Zuckowski, Barbara Dennerlein, Thomas Anders, Anne Haigis, Harald Juhnke, Pe Werner, Sara K., as well as with musicians from Jethro Tull, Jazzkantine and the Mike Oldfield Band. In addition to numerous concerts and productions with other artists and bands, he can also be heard time and again with his own programmes - whether solo, as a duo or with a full band. He has participated in more than 100 CD and LP productions to date and his tours have taken him as far as Los Angeles and Taiwan.
As a saxophone teacher, he has taught at various music schools and as a guest lecturer at the Bundesakademie Remscheid and therefore knows the problems of beginners at first hand.
