The La Peru EVO Nature is built from solid, smoked alder for the bottom and top, SPL sides, a beech back and a decorative veneer frontplate. The frontplate is partly glued and partly screwed to achieve the typical La Peru bass. The frontplate is locally densified by an embossing specially developed to improve the snare response. While the alder/SPL body enhances controlled bass, the two sets of four snare strings, fanned out across the rear of the frontplate, produce the rich and ultra-precise snare sounds that were not possible before. Both snare string strands are separately tunable. Together, these features make the visually and technically impressive La Peru EVO cajon an extremely versatile instrument, suitable for every musical style.
