The secret ingredient behind the success of the brass instruments from the Schagerl workshop in Hörsdorf, Austria is the close collaboration with well-known musicians. In recent years that has mainly involved the players of Mnozil Brass, a brass ensemble causing a sensation across Europe and well beyond the brass-music scene. But the trumpeters of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonics are also regular customers. Schagerl's trademark is the rotary-valve trumpet, made in a Perinet-style form, which also makes these instruments unmistakable at greater distances. To this day Schagerl remains a small but excellent brass workshop, anchored in family hands for over 50 years. They don't produce large quantities, but their instruments are all the more sought-after. Session is proud to be counted among the few exclusive Schagerl dealers in Germany.
