Holger Stonjek, owner of Sandberg, gets hands on with his basses himself, especially the neck shaping he performs with attention to detail. All basses from Holger are equipped with Glockenklang electronics. All Sandberg employees have many years of experience in bass construction. It is not an exaggeration to say that these basses have an extraordinary quality, inimitable sound and a unique playability. The California Series offers traditional body shapes combined with modern electronics. The result is a bass that is unbeatable in terms of quality, sound and playability not only in this price range.
It was long overdue: sandberg guitars has been working with Oliver Riedel from Rammstein since the late 1990s. First, the Plasma basses were designed; glowing Plexiglas monsters, just right for Rammstein.
Now, finally, there is a signature model: extreme hardcore aging, Black Label pickups, a new deep neck pocket, and an ebony fingerboard. It is precisely this combination that makes the tone of the low B string (Oliver likes to play in low B tuning) beautifully clear and direct.

The bass forge Sandberg was founded in 1987 by Holger Stonjek with a business partner in Braunschweig. The company quickly made a name for itself in the bass community, because with Sandberg looks, tone, quality and not least the price all add up. You'll find something whether you love classic designs—California models—or modern looks & feels—e.g. the Basic, Panther, Custom and Bullet models. Under the Electra name Sandberg now also offers models that are not produced in Germany but still have to meet the same high quality standards as the regular basses.
Since 2010 the range has also included electric guitars with models like the Florence and the California ST and DC, which, like the basses, have the potential to become modern classics.

Ich bin nicht enttäuscht, diesen zweiten schönen Sandberg-Bass gekauft zu haben. Im Vergleich zu den anderen Bässe die ich auch spiele, bereiten mir diese Sandberg-Bässe eine unbeschreibliche Freude, sowohl was das 'feeling' als auch was den Klang betrifft. Eine perfekte Werkseinstellung für diese beiden Bässe; ich hatte nichts anderes zu tun, als sie so zu spielen, wie sie sind! Eine Top Qualität. Aktiv/Passiv-Elektronik mit enormer 'Power', die eine Vielfalt von Klängen ermöglicht; leicht und schnell zu spielen. Und um nichts zu verderben, diese Sandberg Bässe sehen verdammt gut aus!
Très belle basse , agréable a jouer et très belle lutherie, du haut de gamme, je recommande pour ceux qui désire une basse a tous faire , car vraiment il est possible d'avoir tous les sons , pour tous les styles, bravo Sandberg.
