While the lovingly hand-applied relic finish conveys the scars and playing marks of an instrument that has been played daily over several decades, the swamp ash body and the maple neck with a slim C profile offer the playing comfort Sandberg is known for. Kloppmann JB61 and Special Bridge single-coils and traditional passive electronics provide high-calibre bass sounds with all-round character for nearly any genre and technique. The bass forge Sandberg was founded in 1987 by Holger Stonjek with a business partner in Braunschweig.
