Product information "Roland FANTOM-08"
With the Fantom-08, Roland is now introducing the sound power and clear workflow of the upper-class workstation to the mid-range segment. The Fantom-08 features the PHA-4 keyboard with Ivory Feel surface and pressure point simulation, which is familiar from the pianos.
In addition to the extensive Zen Core Engine, the Fantom-08 also features SuperNATURAL Acoustic, SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano, SuperNATURAL Electric Piano and even the Virtual Tone Wheel Organ. There is also a well-equipped vocoder on board. Your own settings are saved in scenes.
Up to 16 parts are available in each scene, which can be split and layered quickly and easily. An extensive effects section is available for each part. In total, the Fantom-08 has more than 3500 sounds at its disposal. Thanks to Roland Cloud Integration, the sound library can also be expanded in the future.
Even model expansions can be integrated. The easy-to-use pattern sequencer also offers 16 parts with 8 variations each. The patterns can be up to 64 bars long. Here you can choose between Step Recording, Realtime Recording or TR-Rec.
The Piano Roll Editor and the Microscope Editor are available for more in-depth sequencer settings. The integrated 4x32 USB audio interface and the native integration of Logic, MainStage and Ableton Live also make the Fantom-08 very interesting for working on the computer.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various musical instruments and studio equipment on 18 April 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to reach the market were the first rhythm machines of the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a decisive influence on the techno, electro and hip-hop scenes. In the mid-1970s the JC-120 Jazz Chorus guitar amplifier was developed, whose ultra-clear sound together with the built-in chorus effect won over both Andy Summers of The Police and Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica. Since then and to this day Roland have continuously expanded their catalogue across a wide range of fields such as digital pianos, grooveboxes, e-drums and synthesizers with high-quality and interesting products.
