The CY-14R-T V-Cymbal has a noticeably thinner profile than previous generations and offers an organic, expressive playing experience with consistent response, improved stick feel and natural resonance similar to an acoustic drum set. In addition, the elegant, textured surface design of the CY-14R-T provides an authentic acoustic look on stage.
On most V-Drums modules the sensor system can be configured for use as a ride cymbal (bow/bell) or a crash cymbal (bow/edge). Triple triggering via two cables in combination with modern V-Drums modules allows separate edge, bow and bell sounds. Cymbal chokes can also be produced like on an acoustic cymbal by holding the edge.
Specific CY-14R-T trigger parameters are not available in all V-Drums modules.

Roland was founded as a manufacturer of various musical instruments and studio equipment on 18 April 1972 in Osaka, Japan. Among the earliest products to reach the market were the first rhythm machines of the TR series, whose successors TR-808, TB-303 and TR-909 had a decisive influence on the techno, electro and hip-hop scenes.
