With the XDJ‑AN, AlphaTheta presents a new 2‑channel all‑in‑one DJ system that enables a smooth transition from home DJing to club performances.

Many DJs start their careers with DJ controllers at home, so moving to club‑standard gear can feel unfamiliar at first. At the same time, streaming services are becoming increasingly important for discovering new music and playing directly from those services. The XDJ‑AN has been developed to bridge this gap and to allow performances from multiple music sources within a familiar club‑style workflow.

It supports playback from USB storage devices, DJ apps on mobile devices, PC/Mac and streaming services, offering maximum flexibility when choosing your preferred music source. Thanks to StreamingDirectPlay, tracks from supported streaming services can be integrated into and played within DJ sets directly.

With rekordbox Cloud Library Sync you can synchronise tracks and playlists prepared on PC/Mac with the cloud. Using rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, cloud‑based libraries can then be used directly on the XDJ‑AN – with no manual file transfer required.

The layout, modelled on club‑standard setups like the CDJ‑3000X multiplayer and DJM series mixers, offers an intuitive user experience and eases the move into professional DJ environments.

Direct access to music streaming services for DJing and new tracks

With StreamingDirectPlay, tracks from streaming services can be played directly on the XDJ‑AN and mixed seamlessly with music from other sources. This removes a classic hurdle in DJing: the need to buy, download and manage large music libraries individually. At the same time, discovering and testing new music becomes significantly faster and easier – regardless of experience level.

The feature is ideal for playing songs directly from Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, Tidal and Spotify*1 within DJ sets. The Info‑Search function also finds suitable tracks based on artist or album information related to the currently playing song, allowing you to explore extensive streaming libraries intuitively. With support for rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, you can also access rekordbox libraries stored in Dropbox or Google Drive to play cloud‑based music directly on the XDJ‑AN.

Cloud‑based playlist editing and library management via the touchscreen

Playlists can be created and edited directly on the XDJ‑AN, enabling a seamless workflow from preparation to performance – without a PC or Mac. New playlists can be assembled, existing ones edited, single or multiple tracks added or removed, songs reordered and playlists renamed.

With Cloud Library Sync*2 you can manage your cloud‑based library directly on the XDJ‑AN without switching between devices. Changes such as adding hot cues or editing playlists are automatically synchronised with the cloud. This keeps the library prepared on PC/Mac up to date and available across devices. Changes then also appear directly on your computer. Thanks to the cloud‑based playlist bank function, playlists are saved online so you can continue mixing straight away after powering the XDJ‑AN back on.

Support for mobile apps for even more performance options

For the first time, an all‑in‑one DJ system with the XDJ‑AN supports DJ apps such as rekordbox for iOS and djay for iOS, allowing performances with your favourite app. This makes it easy to get started with DJing using just a smartphone. Even without a Wi‑Fi connection, tracks previously stored on the mobile device can be used. The system also supports the DJM‑REC app for live streaming and recording, making it easy to share content via social media.

Club‑standard layout and broad media compatibility – for an easy move into pro venues

With a layout based on the professional CDJ and DJM series, the XDJ‑AN provides ideal conditions for switching from DJ controllers to club‑standard setups. The compact design enables a simple and intuitive DJ experience with all essential functions. Beginners get a quick start, while experienced controller DJs can easily take the next step towards professional DJing.

By connecting a laptop, the XDJ‑AN can also be used with DJ software such as rekordbox for Mac/Windows, Serato DJ Lite or djay Pro. The system additionally supports playback of music files from USB storage devices.

Extremely low‑latency monitoring thanks to the built‑in SonicLink transmitter

The XDJ‑AN features a built‑in SonicLink transmitter, AlphaTheta’s proprietary audio technology for wireless transmission with extremely low latency. In combination with compatible headphones such as the HDJ‑F10, instant wireless monitoring is possible without additional transmitters or cables. SonicLink delivers high‑resolution sound at high volume with a latency of just 9 ms, making virtually delay‑free performance monitoring possible.

High‑quality sound and flexible audio connectivity

Drawing on AlphaTheta’s long experience in sound design, the XDJ‑AN delivers clear, punchy sound – regardless of volume or environment. In addition to professional XLR outputs and RCA connectors for connecting a wide range of audio gear, the system also features Bluetooth® inputs and outputs for maximum flexibility.
