Pioneer DJ DJM-V10 LF

Some DJs never use the crossfader and prefer to mix with the channel faders because they give more control – whether for smooth blends with minimal level adjustments of individual tracks or to drop sounds into the mix quickly, almost like playing a musical instrument. By omitting the crossfader from the DJM-V10, the new 60 mm faders of the DJM-V10-LF have more room on the mixer surface compared with the original 45 mm faders. This provides substantially more space for fader movement and enables precise level control for each channel. A brand-new fader-curve setting has also been added, and the faders have been weighted to make the most of the extended travel.

All other features and specifications of the DJM-V10-LF match those of the DJM-V10, which since its release in early 2020 has become the heart of many of the most creative DJs. The 6-channel mixer impresses with its warm, energetic and present sound and is equipped with unique features.

60 mm faders

Anyone who wants to mix seamlessly and with fine detail will appreciate the extensive control options of the DJM-V10-LF. The DJM-V10's crossfader has been removed and replaced by brand-new 60 mm channel faders instead of the previous 45 mm faders.

Unique fader curve

The mixer features the two classic fader curves from its predecessor – optimised to make the most of the additional fader length. In addition there is a completely new curve preset that allows fine adjustment of each channel's level and precise control of the output sound.

Outstanding sound quality

The DJM-V10-LF delivers a warm and natural sound that captures every nuance of the music. 96 kHz/64-bit mixing and dithering in the DSP, a low-jitter clock and high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters provide true studio quality. This guarantees a rich bass range, lively mids and precise high-frequency reproduction.

Six channels

In addition to jacks for CDJs and turntables, samplers, synths and drum machines can be connected to the DJM-V10-LF. The analogue inputs on the rear are aligned with their corresponding channels on the top of the unit, making wiring straightforward even in a dark DJ booth.

4-band EQ

The newly developed 4-band EQ lets you shape the sound to your liking. The frequencies, curves, boost and cut ranges for each band have been specially designed for maximum flexibility. The highs and/or lows can be fully isolated, and the two mid bands have their own curves for perfect control over every detail in the mix.

New filter with dedicated control on each channel

The newly developed filter with resonance control opens up a wide sonic palette: from subtle fine-tuning to drastic interventions. A button selects the filter mode – high-pass or low-pass – and the control knob sets the filter amount: from fully left (no filter in the signal path) to the extreme right position (maximum filter in the signal path). Because high- and low-pass are separate, the full control range is available to the selected filter. The doubled resolution (compared with the DJM-900NXS2 filter) results in much more nuanced control.

Send/return section

The sends can route audio signals to one of the four internal FX or to up to two external effects units to create unique sounds and live remixes. Stereo jack sends accept guitar effect pedals, effect units or other equipment.

The integrated FX include Short Delay, Long Delay, Dub Echo and Reverb. Various parameter controls let you tailor the effects to your preference:

• Size/Feedback: changes the room size when using a reverb. For delay and echo FX this controls the feedback amount.
• Time: sets the reverb decay time and the delay time for delay and echo effects.
• Tone: alters the timbre of the effect sound from deep and heavy to light and crisp.
• Master Mix Level: acts as the overall level for the effects-processed sound when Master Mix is enabled.

Whether you use external effect units or the built-in FX, the DJM-V10-LF gives you the choice of how effect signals return to the mixer. FX signals can be routed back to a free channel so the effects can be further processed with EQ and filter, or they can go straight into the Master Mix and from there to the master output.

3-band master isolator

The 3-band master isolator keeps the entire mix easily under control. In addition to new boost/cut curves and adjustable crossover frequencies, it offers further parameters that can be changed with the large knobs. This allows for dramatic tonal changes when desired that will excite any crowd.

Compressor on each channel

If you want to play older or unmastered tracks you no longer have to worry about them being drowned out by modern, loud productions. The DJM-V10-LF has the perfect solution: each channel features a compressor control. When used, the signal is compressed in real time. The quieter a track is, the stronger the effect. This keeps loud, already-mastered music unaffected while giving quieter tracks the necessary punch.

14 Beat FX

With 14 built-in Beat FX you can easily add the required flavour to any set. Newly added is Shimmer, a reverb with a harmonic extra: the signal is transposed up one octave and Shimmer adds harmonic overtones. It works best on melodic elements such as leads or chords, giving the sound depth and harmony.

Two headphone outputs and booth EQ

The DJM-V10-LF allows two headphones to be connected simultaneously so, for example, you can mix with another DJ while still using independent monitoring signals. Each headphone output has its own cue/master mix and a volume control. This is perfect for DJ handovers or joint performances to set up your own monitor sound. In addition, the booth speaker tone can be adjusted with the Booth EQ to help prevent ear fatigue during long sets.

RMX-1000 for iPad

If you connect an iPad via MULTI I/O and open the RMX-1000 for iPad app you can trigger FX and pre-defined samples to transform tracks in time with the beat.

ShowKontrol

The DJM-V10-LF supports the extended PRO DJ LINK ShowKontrol protocol. This allows DJs, tech-minded producers, LJs and VJs to use important information from the DJM-V10-LF such as current fader and knob positions to synchronise audio and visuals. This makes it possible to create unique shows that excite the audience. Additionally, some settings on the DJM-V10-LF can be remotely controlled via the ShowKontrol software.

With the DJM-REC app for iPhone or iPad you can easily record and archive mixes. Sounds can optionally be uploaded to cloud services or you can stream your sets live.
