The classical guitars of the Thermo Series undergo a specialised thermal treatment that transforms selected woods into 'aged' tonewoods. In this process the woods are heated in a vacuum to remove moisture and resins. This results in a light, hard and stable wood structure that mimics the decades-long ageing process while tone and response mature. The guitars feature a solid spruce top which, thanks to this treatment, takes on an amber-like colour, enhancing the vintage charm. Back and sides are made of Pao Ferro. Thanks to their short-scale design these guitars offer a comfortable playing feel. Each Thermo Series model is supplied with a high-quality Ortega Pro-Gigbag.

Ortega Guitars was founded in Germany in 1994 and has combined modern design with authentic, traditional methods of classical guitar building. The company is particularly known for its concert guitars, but has since made a name for itself in many other areas of acoustic music.
