Zack Grooves came to Meinl Stick & Brush with the aim of finding a drumstick that feels like an extension of his hands and responds appropriately in any playing situation. Together we developed a stick that offers a unique combination of weight, diameter and length. To achieve this we first select our heaviest hickory sticks and mill them down to a medium-thin diameter of 0.550 inches. These are then cut to a length of 16.5 inches and given a long taper to compensate for the high mass. The end result is a balanced stick, light enough for small venues but with the necessary weight to project when needed and to withstand heavy use. For maximum versatility Zack chose an oval tip to produce a balanced response and a wide tonal palette on the cymbals. This gives him full control over his final sound.
'My goal was to find the perfect drumstick no matter what style I play. In one situation I needed something light for a jazz-standards gig in a cocktail bar, in another something heavy and durable for a rock song. And let me tell you: Meinl Stick & Brush nailed it!'

Da ich Zack Grooves als einer der kreativsten Drummer halte, habe ich mir mehr versprochen. Die Stick haben überhaupt keine Grip. Beim Spielen rutschen Sie einem fast aus den Händen. Ansonsten wäre das Spielgefühl gut.
