With cajons, one of the most widespread percussion instruments, Meinl offers a spectrum of designs that is hard to beat. With the cajons of the Snarecraft Series, which are particularly suitable for beginners, no compromises are made in terms of materials or workmanship despite the affordable price. The bodies of these cajons, as well as those of the midrange cajons in the Woodcraft and Woodcraft Professional Series, are made from high-quality Baltic birch in Europe. These series also offer a wide selection of playing surfaces made from exotic woods to provide a broad palette of different tones. The Artisan Edition cajons are the spearhead of cajon craftsmanship. Handcrafted in Spain in collaboration with cajon master José Hernandes Diaz Pepote, these cajons leave nothing to be desired in terms of looks, sound and workmanship and get the best out of the possibilities of this versatile instrument. Even here, at the top end of exclusivity, individuality and choice are not lacking. In total, seven series are built by Pepote for Meinl in Spain. All models, from the affordable Tango Line to the highly professional Martinete Line, are individually crafted with uncompromising workmanship and, alongside flawless finishing of the finest woods, deliver a highly precise response that conveys the groove, soul and emotion of playing effortlessly to fellow musicians and the audience.
