Mayones is a Polish family company specialising in excellent electric guitars and basses. The company was founded in 1982 by two friends and was shortly afterwards taken over by the couple Halina and Zenon Dziewulski. Guitars from Mayones impress not only with their unique design and outstanding quality, but also with their ease of playability — the result of over 35 years of experience and the perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Each guitar and bass is handmade by experienced luthiers and receives the time and care that only a family business can provide. In the final stage of production all instruments are optimised for string action and intonation using the PLEK process; this computer-controlled procedure achieves a precision that cannot be reached by hand.
The guitars and basses from Mayones offer a huge range for customers: whether it’s 6- or 7-string ST guitars, a T guitar, or perhaps a semi-hollow. The selection among the basses is no smaller — 4-, 5- or 6-string models are all available, including unique, unusual shapes like the Viking VF 5. And once you’ve chosen a body shape the fun doesn’t stop there. The choice of electronics offers almost endless possibilities, from pickups by well-known brands to the in-house produced Velvetrone Pickups, which Mayones developed specifically for their guitars and basses and which complement them perfectly. When it comes to the look of the instrument, Mayones has made a name for itself over almost 40 years for using unique designs and finishes. You’ll find colours and designs that no other guitar maker uses, and if nothing suits a customer the Custom Shop is called upon, whose virtually limitless capabilities can fulfil even the quirkiest wishes.
