Martin Guitars OM-28 Standard Series Update 2025
The Martin OM-28 is one of the most iconic models in the Martin range. Generations of players trust it for its balanced tone, timeless style, and unmatched versatility. Its Auditorium body delivers resonance across all six strings, with deep bass, rich overtones, and clear highs that suit any playing style. The OM-28 features a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, and has a longer scale length (25.4") that provides higher string tension, resulting in a slightly brighter tone and improved projection and sustain. The satin neck with Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval profile and High-Performance Taper ensures smooth playability. The OM-28 is a timeless classic for today's player, complete with a herringbone inlay on the top, antique white binding, and an ebony bridge with bone pins. Available in a variety of eye-catching gloss finishes, it's a guitar you can trust to unleash the artist in you.
Martin's redesigned Standard Series for 2025 improves sound, comfort, and style. The Sitka spruce GE, also used in the Modern Deluxe series, provides a vintage-inspired tone and sustain, while updates such as a redesigned neck profile, a thinner fingerboard, and a refined bridge and heel improve playability and aesthetics. Each guitar comes with a hard shell case.

The company C.F. Martin & Co., or simply Martin Guitars, can look back on a long company tradition and several innovative inventions. Chief among these is the development of the dreadnought shape and thus the steel‑string acoustic guitar as we know it today. With this, the family business, which spans over 175 years, has shaped the music world to this day. Innovations introduced by Martin that became standard in guitar making also include guitars with 14 frets clear of the body as well as X‑bracing. This allows greater stability and load-bearing capacity of the top (soundboard) thanks to strips glued to the inside of the top. To this day Martin guitars are renowned for their high quality and, of course, for their tone, and are very popular among guitarists. You can find a wide selection with us in the shop or in our branches ready to play. In our Martin Premium steel‑string acoustic guitars section you'll also find a selection of the finest acoustic guitar models from all Martin series.
The name of the US company Martin Guitars, actually C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., has stood for the highest quality and innovation in the construction of stringed instruments since 1833. When people think of Martin they immediately think of the acoustic guitar, since the company founder and German emigrant Christian Friedrich Martin gave the instruments the form we still know and appreciate today. Among the company's inventions are the special bracing (X‑bracing), the neck join at the 14th fret and popular body shapes such as the dreadnought guitar.
In our range you'll find, alongside classics such as the D-, OM-, J- and 000‑models, also Custom Shop and signature models by renowned artists like Ed Sheeran, Eric Clapton and John Mayer. We also carry the popular Martin Backpacker Steel and the Little Martin.
