Martin Grand J-16E 12-String
Product information "Martin Grand J-16E 12-String"
The Grand J-16E 12 String is ideal for experienced players looking to expand their skills. It's a full-bodied, beefy guitar that produces balanced overtones with a strong, solid bass. Martin crafts it in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, with an East Indian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top, so this powerhouse looks as good as it sounds. They've also incorporated scalloped X-bracing to produce a wonderfully resonant tone that fills the room even when unplugged. And although playing a 12-string guitar can be challenging, the high-performance tapered neck makes this guitar comfortable to play and great sounding.

The company C.F. Martin & Co., or simply Martin Guitars, can look back on a long company tradition and several innovative inventions. Chief among these is the development of the dreadnought shape and thus the steel‑string acoustic guitar as we know it today. With this, the family business, which spans over 175 years, has shaped the music world to this day. Innovations introduced by Martin that became standard in guitar making also include guitars with 14 frets clear of the body as well as X‑bracing. This allows greater stability and load-bearing capacity of the top (soundboard) thanks to strips glued to the inside of the top. To this day Martin guitars are renowned for their high quality and, of course, for their tone, and are very popular among guitarists. You can find a wide selection with us in the shop or in our branches ready to play. In our Martin Premium steel‑string acoustic guitars section you'll also find a selection of the finest acoustic guitar models from all Martin series.
The name of the US company Martin Guitars, actually C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., has stood for the highest quality and innovation in the construction of stringed instruments since 1833. When people think of Martin they immediately think of the acoustic guitar, since the company founder and German emigrant Christian Friedrich Martin gave the instruments the form we still know and appreciate today. Among the company's inventions are the special bracing (X‑bracing), the neck join at the 14th fret and popular body shapes such as the dreadnought guitar.
In our range you'll find, alongside classics such as the D-, OM-, J- and 000‑models, also Custom Shop and signature models by renowned artists like Ed Sheeran, Eric Clapton and John Mayer. We also carry the popular Martin Backpacker Steel and the Little Martin.
In addition we of course stock a wide range of accessories, including the very popular strings from Martin. Our staff look forward to your visit and are happy to provide you with detailed advice.
