When the Marshall JCM 900 series was introduced in the mid-90s, Nigel Tufnel, guitarist for Spinal Tap and owner of Marshall tops with gain controls that went up to 11, was totally blown away: the JCM 900 amps were 9 louder than his amps - the gain control scale on the 900 goes up to 20!!!! The JCM900 MR 4100 Dual Hi Gain Marshalls heralded the next round of gain and distortion. This Marshall milestone is now available again as a reissue model. The amp offers 2 channels with separate gain, reverb and master control and the typical Marshall 4-band tone control. The serial FX loop is adjustable, and in addition to a direct line out, a line out with speaker simulation is also available. As the model name suggests, the gain range has been significantly extended compared to the JCM 800 series, and the 5881 tubes in the power amp ensure an aggressive, brilliant sound behaviour - the metal sound of the 90s!
