Design and materials
The Lakewood A-15 Edition 2024 impresses with its refined design and the use of high-quality materials. The body is fully solid and built in an auditorium shape. The back and sides are made from exquisite pommele mahogany, known for its warm, woody tone. The neck is made from Cedro and the fretboard from cocobolo, providing a comfortable playing feel and excellent playability. The headplate of Cedro with cocobolo veneer on the front and back is a real eye-catcher.
Features and sound
The Gotoh SGL-510Z Gold tuners (21:1 ratio) with cocobolo buttons provide precise and stable tuning. A honey-coloured stain on the top and a Wine finish on the body and neck give the guitar an attractive look. The matte finish adds a modern touch.
The scale length of 24.8" (630 mm) and the V-shaped neck profile provide a comfortable playing feel, while the L.R. Baggs HiFi preamp system and the controls (1x Volume, 1x Tone) give you full control over your amplified sound. Despite the complex technology the operation is intuitive and straightforward.

With extensive knowledge of the professional and artful manufacture of guitars, Lakewood Guitars in Giessen have been building high-quality steel-string acoustic guitars for over 35 years. Instruments are made with the utmost precision using new technologies alongside proven traditions, resulting in tone, aesthetics and construction that meet the highest demands.
In addition to the series models, the Lakewood Custom Shop is very popular. Here you can design your own individual instrument using the "Lakewood Gitarren Designer". Lakewood is happy to support its customers from planning to the build of the instrument, offers valuable tips when choosing from the many options and helps you decide on your dream guitar. Since 2014 it's been possible to have your instrument made entirely from native woods and thus have a truly sustainable instrument built.
