The Korg microKORG XL+ updates the sounds and look of the microKORG XL synth. The updated synthesizer provides more vintage sounds including the KORG SGproX piano, M1 and VOX organs and tape string and flute instruments plus a new program genre selector for current musical scene. The microKorg XL+ features a sound selector to choose sounds using two large dials: Music Genre and Instrument Category. The new microKorg XL+ has been updated with a new set music genres to fit today's music scene. The microKorg XL+ synth can now be battery powered by six AA alkaline batteries with four hours of battery life. Other features include 128 sounds from Korg's MMT analog modelling technology, a vocoder with included gooseneck microphone, a Kaoss effects engine featuring 17 effects, and Korg's proprietary Natural Touch 37-key mini-keyboard designed with an emphasis on playability.

The Japanese company Korg INC is one of the most renowned manufacturers of our time when it comes to electronic musical instruments and accessories. Among musicians the company is often simply referred to as Korg. The company was founded on 28 August 1963 by Tsutomu Kato and Tadashi Osanai. The nearly 300 employees at Korg INC are mainly engaged in the manufacture and marketing of synthesizers and samplers, drum machines and sound modules, keyboards and electric pianos, but also USB controllers, electronic drums as well as handy little helpers for guitarists.
