Es hat etwas gedauert, aber Handarbeit ist bekanntlich zeitaufwändig. Und es hat sich gelohnt, denn meine alte Richwood-Stratocaster hat eine völlig andere Stimme bekommen und klingt fast genauso gut, wie das Hörbeispiel auf der Homepage von Kloppmann. Sicher machen auch andere Komponenten noch etwas mit dem Ton einer Strat, aber die Veränderung durch diese Pickups ist schon enorm und besonders empfehlenswert für Vintageton-Begeisterte. Und der kommt durchaus voll und kräftig aus dem Amp heraus, egal ob Röhre oder Transistor, dazu mit kräftiger Glocke an den entsprechenden Stellen. Leider ist meine Gasrechnung doch sehr gestiegen, sonst würde ich auf der Stelle noch mehr meiner Strats mit den Kloppmännern paaren. Auf alle Fälle sehr empfehlenswert nicht nur für Fender-Strats. Meine umgerüstete Strat ist eher niederer Herkunft, macht aber jetzt ihrer Fenderschwester aus den 70ern starke tonale Konkurrenz.
