Kawai is doing pioneering work. To better protect the sensitive action from climatic influences, the action rail and the hammer return rail are made from aluminium. Many other precision parts of the action are cast from extremely durable ABS Styran with very low friction. On the Kawai K-15 ATX-L WHP White High Gloss the bracing is made from a robust glued-wood construction that ensures optimum strength and excellent stability of the entire structure.
