The AXE I/O SOLO is the little brother of the AXE I/O audio interface from IK-Multimedia. AXE I/O combines high-quality components with original features. The development of the Z-Tone is based on the knowledge that each pickup differs greatly in sound and dynamics depending on the impedance of the preamplifier. Thus, it is an input channel that shapes and enhances the guitar or bass sound in an uncomplicated way. With the Z-Tone control the impedance of the preamplifier can be adjusted from 1 mOhm ("sharp") to 2.2 kOhm ("bold"). In addition, the input level of the channel can be adjusted to match the output level of passive or active pickups, with the user always having the choice between a transparent "pure" sound and the popular warm sound of the JFET transistor.
To add another aspect of professional guitar recording, keeping reamping as convenient as possible, AXE I/O has been given a custom amp-out. With the low-noise, ground-isolated 6.3 mm jack output, any amp can be easily connected via a regular guitar cable (no DI box required), allowing different guitar amps and pedalboards to be rewired quickly and easily.
