IK Multimedia has long been known for its authentic software simulations such as AmpliTube, SampleTank and T-RackS as well as innovative stage and studio hardware. With AXE I/O they combine both worlds and developed a unique audio interface specifically for guitarists and bassists.
AXE I/O combines high-quality components with original features; for example, the Italians developed the unique Z-Tone: knowing that every pickup changes dramatically in dynamics and tone depending on the preamp impedance, they designed a highly versatile input channel that shapes and refines guitar or bass tone with just a few adjustments. The Z-Tone control lets you set the preamp impedance from 1 mOhm ("sharp") to 2.2 kOhm ("bold"). In addition, the channel's input level can be matched to the output level of passive and active pickups, and you always have the choice between a transparent "Pure" sound and the popular warm sound of the JFET transistor.
To make re-amping — another key element of professional guitar recording — as convenient as possible, AXE I/O is equipped with a specially adapted Amp-Out. Using the low-noise, ground-isolated 6.3 mm jack output, any amp can be connected via a standard guitar cable (entirely without a DI box), making it quick and easy to rewire different guitar amps and pedalboards.
AXE I/O ships with a huge software package. Included are over 140 AmpliTube amp & cabinet simulations, 10 T-RackS singles (including various EQs, effects, compressors, etc.) and an Ableton Live 10 Lite version. Thanks to the built-in "preset encoder" you can switch predefined rigs in AmpliTube directly from the AXE I/O.
Besides the many features that will especially appeal to guitarists, AXE I/O also convinces as a versatile audio interface with two extremely low-noise mic inputs, four line outputs, two freely configurable inputs for footswitches, a built-in tuner with LED display and MIDI I/O.

Ravi du produit et de la combinaison interface/amplitube...je n'ai pas encore pris toute la mesure du potentiel mais ça promet!!! Seuls regrets: pas de notice en français pour axei/0!!! Et sauf à mal l'utiliser la réemplification ne reprend pas les effets amplitube à moins de passer par la prise Headphones .
