British fusion guitarist Tom Quayle has been given a cool signature model from Ibanez, based on the trendy AZ series. The TQM2-CU is a contemporary variation of the classic ST model with HSS equipment. The alder body is combined with a maple top, the one-piece neck is made of roasted maple - heat-treated maple with the stability and sound characteristics of very old tonewood - and a rosewood fingerboard. The hardware comes from Japanese hardware specialist Gotoh: Magnum locking tuners and the T1702 tremolo, which was developed in collaboration with Ibanez. In terms of electrics, the TQM2-CU is also convincing: an HSS set of Ibanez TQM pickups, in conjunction with the Dyna Mix circuitry, ensures a wide range of sound options.
