The current working tool of Testament's Steve Di Giorgio: the Ibanez SDGB1-DMT from the Signature series. Ibanez has given the hip metal bassist an unusual signature model - the SDGB1-DMT is a 5-string bass, fretless and with an extra-long scale length. The bass is based on the BTB series basses and combines an elegant look with first-class features. The ash/okoume body is fitted with a heavily grained curly maple top, which is given additional depth by the dark green finish. The stable 9-piece maple/bubinga/panga panga neck is additionally reinforced with graphite rods. A set of official Nordstrand Big Single Soapbars in combination with the tried-and-tested Ibanez Vari-Mid 3 preamp ensures a powerful, assertive sound.
