Guild has reissued another classicT, the Starfire IV ST NT. The typical semi-hollow construction guitar (laminated mahogany body with center block) is equipped with the legendary Guild LB-1 Little Bucker pickups - a humbucker with the attack and twang of a single coil. In terms of hardware, the Starfire offers classic Guild equipment: Guild TOM Bridge and the stylish Lyra Tailpiece.

Die Gitarre ist am 3. Werktag nach meiner Bestellung eingetroffen. Kurzer Check auf Verarbeitungsmängel oder Schäden. Alles in bester Ordnung. Besonders die Verarbeitung ist hervorragend. Lediglich der Picguard ist etwas unvorteilhaft positioniert. Er ist am Bridge-PU etwas zu nahe an den Saiten. Aber ich denke, man gewöhnt sich daran. Nachdem ich die Saiten getauscht habe auf Thomastik Flats in 44/10 fühlte ich mich gleich zuhause. Das Profil des Bunddrahts ist für mich optimal. Dadurch dass er höher ist als allgemein üblich, verfügt diese Gitarre über ein phantastisches Ansprechverhalten. Eine leichte Berührung reicht, um einen klaren Ton zu erzeugen - einfach super. Bei anderen Gitarren war das mit 1,5er Bendings immer ein kleines Problem mit den Flats. Auch bei einer kurzen Mensur. Bei der Guild klappt das ohne Probleme. Ein wahres Bending-Monster. Alles in Allem: Eine echte Hammerklampfe! Ich bin schwer beeindruckt.
