The American Gibson Guitar Corporation, founded in 1902 by Orville Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan, first became known for the production of mandolins and banjos. Today the company’s headquarters are in Nashville, Tennessee, and Gibson is one of the world’s most renowned and respected manufacturers of electric guitars.
The model Les Paul, named after its creator Lester William Polsfuss, is one of the most famous and best‑selling electric guitar shapes of all time and established the single‑cut guitar form, which has been copied, adopted and reinterpreted by numerous other manufacturers. The Les Paul is mainly prized for its sound, characterised as warm and full. The humbucker pickup largely responsible for that sound, in its now common design, was developed by Seth Lover at Gibson.
In the early 1960s the Gibson SG appeared as another solid‑body electric from Gibson. Originally intended as the successor to the Les Paul, it became — helped by Angus Young of AC/DC — another rock‑history icon and is the basis for the double‑cutaway guitar type.
With the Flying V and the Explorer Gibson is responsible for two body shapes that, although they were far ahead of their time when introduced in the late 1950s, have over the years also achieved legendary status. They still serve as the foundation for a host of heavy guitars today, for example from makers such as Jackson or ESP.
The Gibson Custom Shop produces custom orders, high‑quality one‑offs and precise replicas of famous models and legendary instrument years. These are often subjected to an artificial ageing process called relicing.
Almost as long as the company has existed, acoustic guitars have also been produced. The J‑45, the Hummingbird, the L‑00 and the SJ‑200 are among the world’s most beloved steel‑string acoustics and were the instruments of choice for Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and John Lennon.

großartige Farbe , Top Verarbeitet und klingt fantastisch ..lässt sich wunderbar bespielen , nichts anderes erwartet ! Einfach eine tolle Gitarre ...
Guitare excellente en terme de qualités sonores. Enfin un retour aux sources qui a fait le succès de marque simple et efficace. Les burstbucker 1 et 2 sont d'excellents micros et collent parfaitement à l'esprit vintage et donne un côté "authentique" a la guitare. Pour le blues rock voir même un peu jazz sur le micro manche. C'est typé et précis à la fois, juste ce qu'il faut. Le manche 50s est rond mais pas trop, assez proche d'un 59 finalement. La difficulté avec gibson reste toujours la très forte irrégularité de la production, expliquė en partie par le fait qu'il y a une grosse partie du travail qui est réalisé à la main, ce qui est avant tout un plus. Pour en avoir essayé 5 au total (boutiques et vpc) elles sonnent toutes bien mais niveau finition on peut tomber sur un exemplaire magnifique, bien réglé, sans défauts de lutherie/finition et avec une superbe table flammée et une touche palissandre très foncé limité ébène comme une custom shop, ou tomber sur un modèle très ordinaire/banal avec une table non flammée, un manche marron clair tout sec des défauts d'acastillage ou de finition qui visuellement est finalement en dessous des epiphone actuelles... il n'y en a pas 2 identiques en terme de finition donc question de goût. Tout ça pour dire que chez gibson c'est un peu la loterie et qu'acheter en VPC c'est risqué si on est exigeant comme moi. J'ai eu de la chance car la seule est unique commandée chez music produktiv fut finalement la bonne, juste le sillet un peu haut à régler mais rien de bien méchant. Tout le reste parfait comme je voulais Enfin un rêve qui se transforme en réalité et après avoir passé du temps pour trouver la bonne, gibson est enfin de retour et propose des produits de qualité (mais perfectionnable) à tarif de nouveau compétitifs. Ravi !!
Me parece una buena guitarra. Buen sonido y todo lo que se puede esperar de una Gibson LP. No pesa demasiado en comparación con otras Gibson que tengo. Solamente por comentar algo, que en algunos detalles del acabado debían de revisar en la casa gibson algunas pequeñas manchas en el mástil que una guitarra de este precio debía de cuidarse mejor. Pero en cuanto a lo demás, muy bien.
