About Jack White

Jack White - with the real name John Anthony Gillis - was raised in a large family with nine siblings. He began playing guitar at 15, after having previously taught himself to play the drums. From 1992 he studied music at Detroit's Cass Technical High School and also completed an apprenticeship at an upholstery workshop. In 1996 Jack opened his own upholstery business, Third Man Upholstery. The colour scheme was, similar to his later label Third Man Records, yellow and black. The first band in which Jack White played guitar was Two Part Resin. After Dominic Suchyta left the three-piece band, only Jack and his colleague Brian Muldoon remained. The two played as a duo from late 1993 until 1996 with just guitar and drums. When Brian also lost interest in the band, Jack came up with the idea of putting his supposed sister Meg on drums. Although she had no experience, the pair decided to continue as The White Stripes. From 1997 to 2011 he was the frontman of the garage-rock band, and since early 2012 Jack has been active as a solo artist; alongside his solo project he is a member of the bands The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. In the list 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time by the music magazine Rolling Stone he is ranked 70th.

An Acoustasonic to Jack's taste

From acoustic shape-shifting to electric rhythm sounds – this powerful guitar uses the revolutionary Acoustic Engine developed by Fender and Fishman®: a magnetic pickup combined with an under-saddle transducer, offering new sonic possibilities in the studio and on stage. The Acoustasonic Tele® christened Triplesonic™ springs from Jack White’s imagination and delivers three distinct sonic worlds, selectable via the 3-way switch: Acoustic, Clean Electric and Overdrive Electric, all of which can be shaped using the simple and convenient master tone control. Featuring premium tonewoods such as a braced solid spruce top, an alder body and a maple neck and fretboard, this Acoustasonic provides a truly first-rate acoustic-electric playing experience. Other distinctive details include a satin Arctic White neck and body with a black top, a custom three-ply pickguard designed by Jack, a custom Jack White neck plate, triple dot inlays at the 12th fret and black locking tuners. A luxurious hardshell case is also included, providing first-class protection and security when travelling.

The Triplesonic is an evolution of the Acoustasonic, developed and road-tested by Jack through years of touring. It offers eccentric styling, novel materials and versatile functionality for the guitarist of today.
