The heart of the MTG LA pedal is a NOS 6205 miniature tube - a tiny tube that was used in all kinds of war equipment in the 50s and 60s. Now the 6205 serves highly pleasing, peaceful purposes - in the MTG LA distortion pedal, the tube provides classic 80's metal or official classic rock sound. Bruce Egnater, one of the greats in the tube amp business, was brought on board for the circuit design. The distortion sound can be fine-tuned with the effective tone control - also on board is a foot-switchable booster for the obligatory extra boost.
