Joe Strummer was born the son of a British diplomat. Even at school he promised a friend that he would become a pop star. After finishing school he initially attended several art colleges to study graphic design. But music soon took up more and more of his time, so he dropped out of his design studies and returned to London. There he founded the rock band The 101ers, which he left after only one release to join the little-known punk band London SS, which soon renamed itself The Clash and became famous under that name. Strummer sang and played his Fender Telecaster there, which, combined with Mick Jones’s distinctive guitar riffs, produced some significant punk tracks and, with London Calling, one of the most successful albums in history. After the breakup of The Clash Strummer released his first solo LP Earthquake Weather in 1989; in 1995 he accompanied the British Celtic-folk-punk band The Levellers on piano for their UK Top 12 single Just The One. After a long creative break his next solo album Rock Art And The X-Ray Style appeared in 1999, and he released one more and final album in 2001.

Super Klang, funktional. Jedoch hätte ich bei Fender originalen eine sauberere Verarbeitung erwartet. Überall ist Wachs Geschmiere wo es nicht hingehört. Auf eine Baseplate wurde verzichtet und das Erdungskabel des Bridge PU ist super kurz. Wer erwas ahnung hat, erded den PU einfach an der Brücke und gut is, aber wer nicht so bewandert ist dürfte anstehen, denn bis auf den Pot kommt man garantiert nicht.
