Fender custom shop Early 1955 Stratocaster TCP HT MN 2TSB #3
Product information "Fender custom shop Early 1955 Stratocaster TCP HT MN 2TSB #3"
As early as 1950 Fender began developing the new guitar that would later be named the Stratocaster. After consulting with several well-known guitarists, including Western-swing musician Bill Carson and entertainer Rex Galleon, for whom Leo Fender wanted to build the perfect guitar, the design for the Stratocaster took shape. It was to have three pickups, a more comfortable, ergonomically shaped body and also an entirely new feature: the vibrato.
In 1954 the Fender Stratocaster finally came to market. The instrument looked like no guitar before it: the body appeared curvier and more flowing than that of the Telecaster and was intended to increase playing comfort; the new headstock was somewhat reminiscent of the old Bigsby headstocks; the jack socket was elegantly recessed into the side of the body instead of on the top; and the Strat was equipped with three single-coil pickups. The Fender Custom Shop has made it its mission to study the high-quality vintage Stratocasters of the time and reproduce them down to the smallest detail. Here we have a very special Custom Shop one-off for you, modelled on a 1950s Stratocaster:
The Fender Custom Shop Early 1955 Stratocaster TCP HT MN 2TSB is a classic ST-style electric guitar with a two-piece ash body. Ash was already used on the original Stratocaster guitars and provides the basis for the perfect vintage tone. The body wood was hand-selected to ensure particularly light weight and thereby improve playing comfort. The maple neck with maple Fretboard has a 1954 "U" profile and a compound Fretboard radius of 7.25" - 9.5", offering the perfect compromise between vintage feel and modern comfort and making fingering easier for your fretting hand. The guitar is fitted with a classic S-S-S pickup configuration of three Fender 1954 Single-Coil Stratocaster pickups. Further features include Fender Vintage Style tuners, a Fender Vintage-Style Strat hardtail bridge and a single-ply white pickguard.
This model is finished in a classic 2-Color Sunburst. The thin Fender Flash Coat lacquer finish ensures that the wood can resonate particularly well and that the finish ages more attractively. The instrument is built to vintage specifications but shows no wear, faded finish, chipped hardware or other signs of ageing. This kind of finish is perfect for you if you want everything that characterised Fender guitars of the era, but want every scratch and ding to come from your own playing and hands.
The Fender Custom Shop Early 1955 Stratocaster TCP HT MN 2TSB is delivered with a certificate of authenticity in a luxurious original Fender Custom Shop case with tweed covering and orange interior, allowing you to safely transport your new dream guitar and protect it from external influences.
