Fender custom shop 1959 Stratocaster JRN HSS HT SNB MBDB Masterbuilt David Brown
Product information "Fender custom shop 1959 Stratocaster JRN HSS HT SNB MBDB Masterbuilt David Brown"
Like its predecessors from the Teambuilt Custom Shop, this new Dealer Select is again modelled on a 1959 Fender Stratocaster with HSS pickups, Olli's absolute favourite model from the American cult manufacturer. The Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster JRN HSS HT SNB MBDB therefore adopts most of the specifications of the previous Dealer Select Strats – with a few interesting changes.
The Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster JRN HSS HT SNB MBDB is a classic ST-style electric guitar with a two-piece alder body. Alder was already used on the original Stratocasters and provides the foundation for the perfect vintage tone. The body wood was hand-selected to ensure an especially light weight and thus improve playing comfort. The aged maple neck with rosewood fretboard and 22 jumbo nickel-silver frets has an ultra-comfortable '60s-style oval C profile and features a compound fretboard radius of 9.5" - 12", offering the perfect compromise between vintage feel and modern playability and making it easier for your left hand to fret. The guitar is equipped with a modern H-S-S pickup configuration featuring a Seymour Duncan EVH '78 humbucker in zebra at the bridge, a Fender Custom Shop Handwound Fat 50s single coil and a Fender Custom Shop Handwound '59 single coil at the neck position with reverse-wound and reverse-polarity. The humbucker also features an auto-split function. Other appointments include Fender Vintage Style tuners, knobs in Aged White, a 4-ply White Pearl pickguard and a Fender String-Thru-Body Hardtail Vintage Relic bridge. With this bridge the strings are routed through the body, which provides a tighter tone than a tremolo bridge. However, you have to forgo vibrato sounds.
This model is finished in classic Olympic White. The thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish allows the wood to resonate particularly well and makes the ageing of the finish more attractive. It's about the look and feel of a guitar that has been loved and played. If you play your instrument often, it's a simple truth that your guitar will eventually show signs of wear. Even players who treat their guitars very carefully can suffer the consequences of a fall from a stand, other people's hands or even a mysteriously appearing ding. Each of these marks gives the guitar character. And that's what you get with the Journeyman Relic level from Fender Custom Shop. A well-cared-for instrument that has been played, gigged and loved. All our Dealer Select Masterbuilts with Journeyman Relic were built by David Brown.
The Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster JRN HT HSS SNB MBDB is supplied with a certificate of authenticity in a luxurious original Fender Custom Shop case, in which you can safely transport and protect your new dream guitar from external influences. A Fender Custom Shop strap is also included.
