In 1963, Fender experimented with new tonewoods. They combined the concise, crisp sound of alder with the warmth of a Round Lam rosewood fingerboard. This brought out the distinctive Tele® twang even better. The American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster 3TSB offers the same sound characteristics and playability as the original with Pure Vintage '63 Telecaster® pickups, a bridge with three threaded string saddles and the comfortable maple neck in C-profile.
