Fender American Vintage II 61 Stratocaster RW ... B-Ware

Product information "Fender American Vintage II 61 Stratocaster RW ... B-Ware"

In the late 50s and early 60s, Fender musical instruments enjoyed steadily growing popularity. Although there were already several Fender models in the range at the time, the Stratocaster® was - and still is - the queen. As early as 1958 it was given a new 3-colour sunburst with a more vivid red and wider black edges to emphasise the famous Strat curves, in 1959 the one-piece maple neck was replaced by a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and in 1961 there was a more stable, three-ply pickguard.
