A special feature of the new EC2S heads is Evans' newly developed Sound Shaping Technology. This technology allows each head, according to its size, to be fitted with individual damping. The damping material is not glued on but is integrated directly into the head and varies in thickness and width depending on the drum diameter. Thanks to this individual damping, the new EC2S heads deliver more tone, sustain and a crisp attack. In addition, the new EC2S impress with a wider tuning range and dynamic range.
