EMAD Heavyweight heads completely redefine the sonic possibilities of acoustic bass drums. They consist of two layers of 10 mil thick film (2 x 0.25 mm), making them the thickest and most durable bass drum heads in the entire Evans line-up. Thanks to the groundbreaking EMAD damping system with external damping ring, no additional damping is required in the drum. The two supplied foam damping rings of different thicknesses allow sustain and tonal response to be altered in a few simple steps.
