EMAD Heavyweight drumheads completely redefine the sonic possibilities of acoustic bass drums. They consist of two layers of 10 mil thick foil (2 x 0.25 mm) and are therefore the thickest and most resistant bass drum heads in the entire Evans line-up. Thanks to the groundbreaking EMAD damping system with an externally mounted damping ring, no additional damping is needed inside the drum. The two foam damping rings of different thickness are included and allow for easy adjustment of sustain and tonal response.
