Heavyweight snare drumheads are the thickest and most durable Mylar drumheads in the Evans product portfolio. They consist of two layers of 10 mil thick film (2 x 0.25 mm) and have a 3 mil thick reverse dot (0.08 mm) glued to the centre. They are therefore 23 mil (0.58 mm) thick in the centre and thus tailored to "heavy hitters". While conventional heads with this thickness often sound stifled, the flexible reverse dot ensures an extended dynamic response. The result is maximum durability and an outstanding playing feel.
