Like all snare heads in the Genera series, the popular two-ply snare head from Evans is equipped with Evans' well-known damping system. The already attack-rich sound of a two-ply head is further enhanced by the damping ring. Small holes, so-called dry vents, have also been worked into the edge of the head. As the name suggests, these make the snare sound drier. The ideal drumhead especially for heavy drummers.
