The LTD JD-I is the first signature model from Joe Duplantier, guitarist, songwriter and producer of the French metal institution Gojira. Based on a modified offset XJ shape, this guitar combines modern playability with uncompromising tone.
The mahogany body provides punchy mids and substance, while the three-piece roasted maple neck in Thin-U profile offers a fast, controlled feel. The Macassar ebony fretboard with 22 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets provides precise response and extreme durability.
The JD-I is fitted with Joe Duplantier's DiMarzio JD Fortitude humbucker. A passive pickup with clear articulation, strong presence and plenty of headroom. The electronics are deliberately minimalistic: a single volume knob is all you need.
High-quality hardware such as the Hipshot Tone-A-Matic bridge, LTD locking tuners and Graph Tech TUSQ nut guarantee tuning stability and reliability. The guitar is delivered in an ESP Deluxe Form Fit hardshell case.
