The EC-1000 is a real ESP LTD favourite - with the EC-1000 BLK, LTD goes a big step further. The guitar has the same basic features as its sister models: Mahogany body with heavily grained quilted maple top in See Thru Black Cherry finish, glued-in mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and upper bodied Tone Pros hardware. So far so good, a high-quality single cutaway guitar with a cool look, but there is high tech under the bonnet: a set of the trendy, active Fishman Fluence humbuckers provides a variety of sounds: the Fluence Modern units enable 2 completely different sounds that can be selected using the push/pull potentiometer: classic PAF style with a warm, round vintage character and modern high-gain active sound.
