Epiphone SG Custom Futura Midnight Ember Shift
Product information "Epiphone SG Custom Futura Midnight Ember Shift"
The Epiphone Futura SG Custom from the new Futura Series is a consistently modern evolution of the classic SG, aimed at guitarists who expect professional tone, maximum versatility and contemporary features for stage, studio and content creation. Inspired by the legendary Gibson SG, this model pairs the iconic double-cutaway mahogany body with a clean, modern design language and high-end appointments.
The mahogany body delivers the typical SG playing feel: light, ergonomic and perfect for long sessions. High-quality hardware such as the LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic Bridge, Stop Bar tailpiece and Posi-Lok™ strap buttons provide stable tuning, plenty of sustain and reliable on-stage performance. The set mahogany neck in a fast Modern C profile meets a bound ebony fretboard with 22 stainless steel medium-jumbo frets and a 10"–14" compound radius, supporting comfortable chords as well as fast solos with ease. The setup is rounded off by Grover® locking tuners, a Graph Tech® nut and elegant inlays — built for precise playing without unnecessary distractions like constant retuning.
Tonally the Futura SG Custom relies on the new ProBucker™ Ignite humbuckers, which deliver modern clarity, punch and definition. Push/pull functions enable coil-splitting and phase switching, creating an incredibly wide sonic palette — from classic rock riffs through dynamic cleans to experimental colours. This SG is therefore far more flexible than many traditional models and ideal for modern music production.
Visually the guitar makes a statement too: the Chromashift finishes like Dragonfly Shift, Nitro Shift and Midnight Ember Shift change colour depending on the light and ensure a strong visual presence on stage, on camera and on social media. Function deliberately meets statement design here.
The Epiphone Futura SG Custom combines classic SG character with modern features, high build quality and versatile sound design — an electric guitar for discerning players who won’t compromise between tradition and innovation. Includes a high-quality gigbag for safe transport and immediate use.

When you think of Epiphone you naturally think of Gibson, since the maker of guitars, basses, amplifiers and accessories has been part of that company since 1957. Epiphone mainly offers instruments in the lower to mid price range. That means beginners can pick up electric guitar and bass classics such as Les Paul, SG, Explorer, Firebird, ES-335 or Thunderbird for little money. There are also instruments from earlier Epiphone eras like Casino, Wildkat, Riviera and Wilshire. In particular, Epiphone's beginner sets for electric guitar, acoustic guitar and electric bass are worth a close look for newcomers.
